About Our Campus
Washington Alternative High School is a school of choice. We serve as a resource for CISD students in grades 9-12 that encompasses non-traditional learners and increase graduation rates through academic strategies that go beyond the traditional classroom with diverse learning environments. Our campus utilizes teaching methods which include self-paced computer assisted instruction, accelerated learning, credit recovery, traditional instruction, small teacher to student ratios, and individual differentiated instruction. Washington HS provides an environment of acceptance and encouragement to enable all students to achieve academic, career technical, and social goals with an emphasis on post-secondary objectives of every student.
